January
16th - Team Meeting - Invitation & Team Members Only
All team members should be in attendance at this event. If you're not a part of the team, but considering membership you should have recieved an invitation from the CO. If you'd like an invitation please contact the CO directly. If you've never played with the team, attend a regular event and pursue membership that way!
23rd - Open Play Date - White Pine
See the description below for the field. The field should have lots of stream activity and be a unique playing challenge right now. Remember if it's cold (35* or less), we recommend you purchase or bring Polar Ice (available at JBs for the event). Please dress in warm and waterproof clothing if at all possible. It'll make your playing experience that much better! If you have any questions about the day please contact Jeff about this or any open play dates!
February
20th - Open Play Date - Clack Mountain
With all the foilage on the ground this should be a great place to play in February. It's high in the hills so it should be a really dry field! This field is new to many in FPJ so come experience it with them for the first time! If you have any questions about the day please contact Jeff about this or any open play dates!
March
13th - Open Play Date - Quarry 1
This is one of the best fields you'll ever get to play. It has such a variety of terrain, and so many types of games can be played here. Come experience it for yourself! If you have any questions about the day please contact Jeff about this or any open play dates!
April
17th - Open Play Date - Wetlands
The Wetlands reopen for 2010! Come play in our forts and mulhallah! If you have any questions about the day please contact Jeff about this or any open play dates!
May
TBA
Let us know where and when you'd like to play in May! If you have any questions about the day please contact Jeff about this or any open play dates!
Fields:
The Wetlands is our homefield. We have 2 huge forts, a city, and lots of obstacles on a nicely shaded wooded field. It's a field you have to play at some point in your life!
White Pines is a wonderful field with lots of natural obstacles. Including a creekbed that is mostly dry, and as deep as 10 feet in places. Downed and still standing trees, and other natural obstacles. It's a great field!
Quarry 1 is a huge field with natural and man made obstacles. Lots of open and wooded areas, and a giant quarry pit as well! Now with no flying spaghetti monsters!!!!* Rock Quarry 2 is a large field at one of the old rock quarries in Rowan County. There are ponds, rock features, cliffs, trails, roads, and many natural and manmade obstacles. It is sometimes challenging to get to in wet weather but is a great field with unique terrian that is not normal for Eastern Kentucky.
Clack Mountain is one of our newest fields. It is a medium sized field with tons (literally) of natural obstacles. There are boulders positioned all over the field. Use them as hiding spots, things to climb on or even things to pole vault off of (Matt B.). There are lots of valleys, and large trees to use for cover as well. A great new field. Because of the dense undergrowth this field is usually only played during late fall, winter & early spring.
(( Signed
waiver required. Parent or guardian must sign if under age 18.))
